Founder-led Strategic Counsel
Monifa Miller is the Founder and Principal of Stratus Strategies. She is a strategic communications and public affairs professional with more than two decades of experience advising organizations and leaders operating in complex, highly visible and impactful environments.
At AtkinsRéalis, Monifa served as Vice-President, Global Nuclear Communications & Marketing, leading communications and marketing strategies supporting the company's world-wide nuclear business. Previously, as Senior Director of Corporate Affairs at BWX Technologies, she led enterprise-wide communications, brand, Indigenous relations and government relations across North America. At X-energy Canada, she served as Director of Communications and Stakeholder Relations, building relationships with communities, industry partners and government stakeholders. Earlier in her career, she held senior advisory roles at Ontario Power Generation, supporting the Darlington Nuclear Refurbishment Project; at the University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine and at health regulatory bodies.
Across these roles, Monifa has developed a reputation for bringing strategic perspective, sound judgment and practical execution to complex communications and stakeholder challenges. She works with leaders and organizations to clarify their story, strengthen relationships, build understanding and navigate issues with confidence.
